Who will photograph my wedding?
Daniel Knight or Courtney Metzger. Depending on availability, you'll have your choice of either. With our most
popular collections you'll have two professionally trained Studio B Photographers. When you visit the Studio
You'll meet us, view actual albums and review even more photography.
Do you recommend an engagement session?
Most definitely! The portraits are beautiful. Plus, when the conditions allow at least some of the portraits are
created in natural outdoor scenes at Studio B. Usually your engagement session is scheduled six months to
a year in advance. Fall sessions are popular making them great surprise Christmas gifts for your Parents,
Grandparents, etc. A session is included in our most popular collections. The engagement session is a perfect
opportunity to make friends, and get comfortable with us. As a result, You'll be more confident and relaxed
being photographed on your wedding day.
Do you recommend a bridal session?
Again, "Yes", especially if a "posed formal bridal portrait" appeals to you or your families. In addition to
having plenty of time to fuss over every detail to make beautiful timeless portraits, this session makes an
ideal “trial run” for your hair, flowers, make-up, jewelry and the fit of your dress and shoes, minimizing
"unwelcome surprises" on your wedding day.
Do you need a list for the posed photos we want?
If you want to create a list, you may. We'll plan a meeting, generally for the Thursday before your wedding.
It is then that we will sit down and collaborate for an hour or so to map out a complete time line and shoot
list for your day.
When do you start and finish taking photos on the day?
Coverage is unlimited on the day of your wedding. We usually begin with B&W candids when the bride &
groom (in separate rooms of course) are getting ready. We usually leave the reception after the formalities,
activities and several dances of the party. We'll plan together with you. Timing varies from one event to the next.
How will I view my wedding images?
Around 4 weeks after your wedding the "proof images" will be posted on our web site (under posted
weddings). They'll be viewable there for six months. Additionally, if you live in the area we encourage you to
schedule to visit the studio when you return from your honeymoon to view a projected photo show of your
wedding proof images. The show is a fun emotionally provoking way to view your images for the first time.
The images will be larger than life and view in our comfortable viewing room. You may need need tissues for
this one. Many couples bring their parents, siblings and or members of their wedding party to this premier viewing.
Do you travel to alternative locations for weddings?
Yes, we are frequently asked to photograph weddings that require travel. We're glad too. In those instances
you are responsible for travel costs. Every situation is unique so let's talk about it.
Are you willing to shoot the rehearsal dinner as part of the wedding package?
As the story of your wedding doesn’t really start on your day, it makes sense to hire our services for the entire
wedding weekend. We would be glad to photograph your rehearsal dinner or other outings as part of your
overall wedding package. It is necessary of course that the planning be done well in advance and there is an
additional service charge for our invested time.
How much can I expect to spend with Studio B?
Our collections begin at $3800. We are full service
and set no limits on time or number of images because we
want to tell the story of your day from start to finish. All collections include your photographer (either Daniel
or Courtney) and a premium quality finished album designed especially for you. Many other great
embellishments are included in all of the collections. Our most popular collections include a second
photographer dedicated to capturing hundreds of candid "story telling" B&W images. Please call or E-mail us
if you are interested in a complete price schedule. Remember to include the date of your wedding so we can
check our availability.
What are the steps to book Studio B for my wedding?
Contact us as soon as possible. Reserving wedding dates is done on a first come first served basis. It is
necessary to pay a retainer to book the date. With the retainer paid and an agreement signed, the day will
be reserved for you. (Credit Cards and Fax Machines usually expedite the process) Many couples prefer to
visit Studio B first. There you can meet our photographic team and view our albums and products to select
the collection that best suits your needs. If you have time and live in the area we encourage that.
